We were commissioned by N.V. Afvalverwerking Rijnmond (AVR) to renovate/expand the 5,000 square meter transshipment terminal with a clear span of 77 meters on the Uranium Canal in Utrecht. An 80-meter-long, 160-ton three-dimensional truss and an 80-meter-long, 80-ton two-dimensional truss were installed at the terminal.

Thanks to the new hall, the municipality of Utrecht’s (residual) waste can now be transported sustainably by water to AVR’s waste-to-energy plant in Duiven.
