As a Contract Manager at Robust Structures, you ensure that our projects are executed with strong contractual and commercial foundations. You translate complex contracts into clear agreements, manage risks, and support project teams in making critical decisions. In doing so, you play a direct role in the success of national and international steel construction projects.

From our headquarters in Roosendaal, the Netherlands, we deliver projects for distribution centres, data centres, and other technically demanding environments. What Will You Do?

As a Contract Manager, you are responsible for safeguarding the contractual and commercial interests of our projects, from tender stage through to project completion. You work closely with senior management, project management, and site execution teams, and act as a key point of contact for clients, main contractors, and consultants.

Your responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and negotiating contracts with national and international clients;
• Identifying, analysing, and managing contractual and commercial risks;
• Advising project teams on contractual obligations, liabilities, and opportunities;
• Drafting contractual correspondence, notices, and formal notifications;
• Building and maintaining a complete and accurate contract administration system;
• Preparing and substantiating variation orders, delay claims, and claims documentation;
• Supporting project managers in strategic decision-making;
• Monitoring contractual deadlines, obligations, and contract amendments;
• Maintaining relationships with clients, consultants, and international main contractors;
• Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, regulations, and international contract forms.

What Do You Bring?

For this role, we are looking for an experienced professional who can translate contractual risks into practical solutions and commercial opportunities. You have strong analytical skills, can easily switch between operational and strategic levels, and feel comfortable working in an international project environment.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level (HBO/WO equivalent);
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract and risk management within construction, steel construction, or industrial projects;
• Experience with complex construction and engineering contracts, claims management, and change management;
• Knowledge of contract frameworks such as FIDIC, Design & Build, and EPC contracts;
• Experience working with international clients, main contractors, and multidisciplinary project organisations;
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, including drafting contractual correspondence and claims documentation;
• Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, risk management capabilities, result orientation, and decisiveness.
