For the employees of Dredging International in Zwijndrecht, Robust Structures built a parking building with 550 parking spaces. The building has four levels with a bicycle shed on the ground floor and a ground area of 2,900 m². Both the design and on-site execution were in the hands of Robust Structures.
Ascending and descending circulation in the car park is done by means of a carousel on the south side, which is equipped with an electric lane heater. This keeps the different levels safely passable even during the winter months. In addition, the beginning of each ramp is equipped with a non-slip floor coating, ensuring the safety of workers. On the north side, the storey floors are built in steps, avoiding a high facade on the entrance side of the site. To complete the whole, Robust Structures provided a green facade consisting of hanging vegetation.
