In collaboration with BAM Bouwtechniek, we built a new roof for the AFAS stadium in Alkmaar (NL). We were responsible for the engineering, production, preservation, and assembly of the entire steel structure. The new roof will be four meters longer on all sides than the existing roof, providing more comfort, and the light poles will be replaced by sustainable LED lighting beautifully integrated into the roof edge. The showpiece is the 600-ton mega truss with a length of 170 meters, a gigantic arch structure that will be placed above the Molenaar stand. In total, approximately 2,500 tons of steel will be engineered, produced, preserved, and assembled for the new stadium roof.
