As a Project Buyer, you will perform work on behalf of Robust Steel Structures B.V. and Robust Bouw B.V. in the Netherlands.

What will you do?

The core of the function is to ensure that products, services and people are available on projects on time according to the established (project-specific) conditions.

The focus will be on outsourcing work to subcontractors and hiring people. Here, risk management and relationship building will play an important role. As Project Buyer, you will report to the Manager Projects and work closely with the Project Managers and Work Planners.

Who are we looking for?

Someone who ensures a good knowledge of the market and market conditions. You can identify, in close consultation with the project teams, what the needs are in the project and what (contractual and budgetary) requirements this should meet.

You can ensure that the complete procurement process from request for offers, evaluation, discussions with suppliers, negotiations and making the final order is timely and correct. You will support the project team during the execution of the assignment, ensuring the evaluation and assessment of suppliers and subcontractors. You will have the space to think and advise on project risks and improvement opportunities.

What do you bring?

HBO working and thinking level and professional knowledge at level NEVI-1 and 2. You have at least 5 years' experience in an equivalent position within the construction and/or steel construction industry, as well as knowledge of and experience with various contract forms, general terms and conditions and relevant legislation.

You have highly developed analytical skills with a problem-solving mentality. Naturally, you are a good communicator and negotiator with independence and drive, for which you have a good command of both Dutch and English.
